Behind the design
Japan girl came from Megan reworking and simplifying a Japanese drawing of a geisha.
She first used it years ago for a screen print and reduced the design to 4 colours. The initial tests looked good but she further experimented with over-dying those 4 printed colours and the result was a beautiful combination of colours that could only have been achieved through these processes.
This design has proved very popular over the years and we love the stylised Japanese motifs combined with the quirky colourway.
